We create great products here at Mailtrust and, as the Vice President of Marketing, your goal is to brag about
how good we are until every company that needs email hosting knows to come to us. You're accountable for many
aspects of marketing, including advertising, public relations, marketing communications, product management, and
market research. You create marketing plans that will help us bring in the big bucks. Then you evaluate those
plans, and if there are ways to improve them, you make it happen. You connect the dots between what's happening
in the world of marketing and what's happening in our company.

Your responsibilities to our customers (the people who pay us the big bucks) include:
- Making sure our communications to the customers are consistent with our image and goals
- Ensuring that potential customers know who we are, what we do, and why we're great at it
- Educating our existing customers about stuff we do that's important to them
- Keeping our existing and potential customers up to speed on new product launches
- Guiding marketing activities with the goal of keeping a favorable image with investors,
potential customers, employees, and the public
Your responsibilities to your co-workers (the people pounding at your door) include:
- Working with the Mailtrust senior leadership team to design and implement marketing plans that
will help Mailtrust achieve its long-range goals
- Building a tactical marketing plan for each area of responsibility while ensuring that the
overall plan is still cohesive
- Conducting industry and competitive research
- Keeping tabs on changes in the marketing environment and current strategies
Important Skills & Characteristics:
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or marketing
- Bonus points for an advanced degree in business or marketing
- Excellent management skills to effectively direct Mailtrust's marketing operations
- Deep knowledge of marketing principles and practices
- Effective time-management, organization, and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including communication and presentation abilities
You're going to do just fine here if:
- You have a deep understanding of product marketing and communications, are technical, can quickly
educate yourself on our new products and services, are organized, can multi-task, and know how to get your point
across
- You're comfortable making important decisions about how to get our company where we want to go
