As a Linux Systems Engineer, your superpowers include the ability to predict the future and
develop proactive solutions to prevent potential system issues. You work with the Noteworthy
email team to anticipate and solve problems before they even happen. A sign of a job well
done is that the customer doesn't even know you.ve done it. You are an independent
troubleshooter who always has our customers' best interests at heart, and you work to
implement solutions to problems before they arise.

we expect that you.re going to get things done in an expeditious and professional manner.

Your responsibilities to the customers (the people paying us the big bucks) include:
- Corresponding quickly, efficiently, and courteously
- Proactively researching expected system failures and the technologies that exist, or can be created, to prevent or lessen the effects felt by such failures
Your responsibilities to your coworkers (the people pounding on your door) include:
- Keeping yourself educated and up to date on our industry, our products, and our services
- Educating yourself about changes and updates to our product
Important skills and characteristics:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience preferred
- Some experience in a computer technical field
- If you've ever used troubleshooting tools relating to spam, search logs, DNS hosting, DNS research, or basic diagnostics then you're in good shape
- A solid understanding of web technologies
- The ability to communicate and provide excellent support and customer service through various communication media such as telephone and email
- Linux experience is a requirement; Red Hat experience is preferred; Red Hat certification is a plus
- Basic knowledge of network fundamentals, server computer hardware and software, DNS, and system services (Apache, FTP, SSH)
- Technical certifications preferred (RHCE, RHCT, CompTIA, MySQL, CCNA, and CCIE)
- Being a quick learner who is willing and able to grasp concepts of current technologies that are required to help customers
