Sr Mgr, Technical Projects

Anyone who has seen the show "Weeds" is probably familiar with its distinctive theme song "Little Boxes" written as a protest to a cookie cutter world where everyone is the same and lives in the same little boxes. Having worked for the some of the biggest names in the software and consulting industries, I am all too familiar with little boxes. When I worked for the "big guys", I felt very confined to a specific role. I wasn't able to use my talents toward other aspects of the company not directly related to my job title. Early in my career I had worked for a few small start-ups and the thing that I appreciated most about those experiences was the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the company operations and to contribute wherever I could. It was my frustrations with being confined to a job description that prompted me to find a way out of the box. That's when I found Mailtrust. Not only have I been given wide latitude to define my role and the role of my project management team, but I have been encouraged to contribute in many other areas as well. Unlike at other places I've worked, people here are not territorial – they welcome open dialog. There is the recognition that people have a unique set of strengths that they can leverage in multiple areas. This uniqueness is valued across the company. Results are the measure of success, not the fact that you worked 9-6, or were clean-shaven, or had the "right" look (believe me, few of us has the right look).

If you are looking for a way to define your role at work, rather than being defined by it, then I would highly recommend Mailtrust. I can guarantee that your contributions to the success of this dynamic venture will be valued, no matter what your job title.
