Missy Lehto

Executive Assistant

I was so excited to get the phone call telling me that I got the job here at Mailtrust! Although, I'll have to admit I was a little nervous and scared because they wanted me to start the next day! I remember thinking to myself, "Will they even have a desk, computer or a place for me to sit when I get there???" Much to my surprise, our IT guru met me at the door, introduced himself, knew who I was, and had everything set up to a tee! I was welcomed by everyone, learned my way around rather quickly, and have felt at home ever since. I hesitate to use coined phrases like that because I don't want to sound cliche and take away from how it really is here, but there is no other way to put it. I really do look forward to every new day here. Even when I think about work on the weekends, it's definitely not with a sense of dread but rather a sense of excitement! I can't stop thinking about what the new week will bring!

I was fortunate enough to be hired as the executive assistant to the President of Mailtrust, Pat. It's so exciting to be a part of his day and see the dedication and commitment he's made to everyone here. I can honestly say there is nothing more important to him than having employees that are engaged and happy at work. In my career, I've worked for large companies, like major airlines, as well as much smaller organizations, and I can't compare Mailtrust to any of them! I feel necessary and valued, like I'm not just a number or name on payroll. I have made friends here that I feel like I've known forever! It's really hard for me to believe I've only been here for 6 months. My family asks me occasionally if I still like my job and the answer is always the same, "I love it!" (They keep expecting the honeymoon period to be over but I think they are realizing that this truly is a wonderfully unique place.) And to think that this is only the beginning... I didn't even mention that my health insurance started on my first day, or that there is a fully stocked break room and that I get to work with a bunch of people who I actually want to hang out with in and out of the office!! When I first saw the ads for Mailtrust, I kept thinking, this place is just too good to be true, this can't be the way it really is—boy did they prove me wrong!!
