• What is the main difference between Hosted Exchange and Noteworthy?

  Hosted Exchange is a solution designed by Microsoft that has some advanced collaboration tools that integrates fully with Microsoft Outlook. Noteworthy is a product designed and built by us as an alternative to Microsoft Exchange and does not have the full collaborative tool set that Hosted Exchange provides. • Will I be able to have some Hosted Exchange mailboxes and some Noteworthy mailboxes on one domain name?

  Yes. Our solution is designed to allow you to choose which solution is right for each user under your domain. The choice is yours.

• Is it possible to have a mailbox that uses both Hosted Exchange and Noteworthy?

  No. Each mailbox can only be associated with one of the systems.

• Can Exchange users be set up as Noteworthy alias or group list members?

  Yes. Exchange users won't appear in the list of Noteworthy users normally used to create an alias or a group list, but both aliases and group lists have areas where other email addresses can be added and that is the best way to add Exchange mailboxes as members.

• Can I convert a Noteworthy mailbox into an Exchange mailbox or vice-versa?

  Yes. There are several different ways to accomplish this. Please speak with a Solutions Engineer or a member of our transition team for assistance.

• Are there different storage limits for Noteworthy and Exchange?

  Yes. Exchange mailboxes start at 1GB and can grow to 10GB — though Microsoft does not recommend going over 5GB in some circumstances. Noteworthy mailboxes are 10GB by default.

• Can a Noteworthy user share their calendar with an Exchange user?

  There is no direct way to do this. If a user has a mailbox on both Exchange and Noteworthy, that user can use the Outlook Sync plugin for Noteworthy to pull the Noteworthy calendar into Outlook and Exchange, including visibility into shared calendars.

  No. An email address will be unique to only one system or the other.
